Spotlight On: Mode Cosmetics #10644 Chillax

Firstly, please read my post Introducing.... Mode Cosmetics Nail Enamel! if you have not done so already, as it contains general information about this brand of nail enamel.

Chillax is part of the current Mode Cosmetics collection and is a shade of Bleu de France. It is a massive improvement on Hook Me Up (which is an awesome shade in its own right) in the respect of having an easy, two coat application. It is an iridescent shade with a subtle green shimmer within. I am a huge fan of this shade - and will be sure to wear it frequently!

I will be listing a bottle of this shade on OZtion for any Australian ladies interested in owning one! I will also be offering it for trade on MakeupAlley in the near future for anyone, anywhere! For ladies outside of Australia who would like to buy a bottle, please email me and I will happily list one on eBay for you. If you have tried these links and Chillax is not available on any of these sites, please email me, and I will endeavour to source one for you.

  1. I reallllly like this one. As soon as I saw it my brain went "GRAB IT NOOOOW!" I agree, quite the improvement on Hook Me Up.

How many coats have you got on in the piccy? I haven't properly worn it yet, just did a 1-nail swatch and I think I used 3 coats, but I can't quite remember.

  2. I like this mostly because of the name :D

  3. Jade: This one is two coats - but they were a little thicker than usual.

SilhouetteScreams: I love the colour AND the name! It's a win-win shade! :)

  4. Are you going to post nothing but Mode nail polish? Do you work for them? Seems kind of fishy to me.

  5. No I do not work for them.
I am the type of person that will post an ENTIRE collection (where possible) and then move on to another. I can almost guarantee that you will find all the information available in one place if I cover a brand.
I'm sorry if you find my thorough style of blogging "fishy."

  6. Anonymous (and I really hope you don't have an account, and that you're not hiding behind 'anonymous') if you read through the archives of V's blog you'll find that not only has she written about other brands of nail polish, but she's written a very informative post on Swarovski crystals.

I for one am enjoying V's thoroughness. It's certainly not her fault that Mode have created such a huge range of colors.

Additionally, if she was 'working for' Mode, why would she be blogging about the difficulties she encountered in finding discontinued shades?

  7. Thank you Jade! :) I appreciate your loyalty more than you know! xxx

  8. That's alright, V. I strongly believe comments like that should be communicated privately, if they need to be said at all. Quite rude to accuse you of being untruthful on your own blog.
