Firstly, please read my post Introducing.... Mode Cosmetics Nail Enamel! if you have not done so already, as it contains general information about this brand of nail enamel.
Nude is a discontinued shade of the Mode Cosmetics collection, so if you like what you see and happen to find one - be sure to snap it up! It is not yet one of the harder shades to find - I have located it in quite a few pharmacies, but don't wait to buy it because it will disappear soon. When looking at the bottle in light (especially sunlight) there is a very subtle pink shimmer, which can be seen on your nails at some angles. I personally have not seen many irridecsent neutral coloured nail polish, so for that I appreciate the uniquness of the shade, however so subtle. The colour reminds me of coffee and hazelnut milk. Can you even see colour in coffee flavouring??? If you can't - then this is what it would look like if you could! The consistancy is not too bad, but does require 3 coats to get the full, even effect of the colour. It is WAY to light for my skin tone - and I have no hope in hell in pulling it off, but that doesn't stop me from rateing it!

I will be listing a bottle of this shade on OZtion for any Australian ladies interested in owning one! I will also be offering it for trade on MakeupAlley in the near future for anyone, anywhere! For ladies outside of Australia who would like to buy a bottle, please email me and I will happily list one on eBay for you. If you have tried these links and Nude is not available on any of these sites, please email me, and I will endeavour to source it for you.

Treasure Hunt - Mode Cosmetics Enamel - Pt.3
It is a bitter-sweet day today. I have spent hours upon hours over the last three days trying to find the 9 missing discontinued nail polish shades. Tuesday was a great day - I managed to locate a whopping 5 shades! Two of which I had sent to me, and arrived today, the other three to be picked up on the weekend. (Wow, my weekend is going to be full of driving!) So that is the sweet part - the bitter part is that yesterday and today have been spent looking for the last 4 shades - but I have had absolutely no luck yet. A little disheartening! After the incredible good fortune of finding 8 shades so quickly, I kinda though it would be just as easy to find the last few. Apparently not. Oh well - beauty is pain, right? lol Hopefully I can bring you some better news soon!

Spotlight On: Mode Cosmetics #10314 Parisian Pink
Firstly, please read my post Introducing.... Mode Cosmetics Nail Enamel! if you have not done so already, as it contains general information about this brand of nail enamel.
Parisian Pink is a discontinued shade of the Mode Cosmetics collection, so if you like what you see and happen to find one - be sure to snap it up! Of the 20 discontinued shades, this was one of the harder ones to find. I have to be honest with you ladies, this nail polish was very difficult to work with. It was very thin and runny, so the coats went on streaky. I ended up with 4 coats of polish to get the full effect of the colour. Having said that, if you have the time, patience and dedication then the pretty baby pink creme is a satisfying vision! Please excuse the messy cuticles, I rushed this polish a little too much!
Photograph taken in artificial light
Nail art: I used Crystallized Swarovski Flat Backs. These ones are Foiled Xilion Rose (2028/ss5.) Colour: not entirely sure - sold to me as "Dark Pink". Set into wet nail polish and apply top coat. Voila!
I will also be selling sample packs of Swarovski Crystals for anyone interested in replicating my nails! If you have tried these links and Parisian Pink or the crystals are not available on any of these sites, please email me, and I will endeavour to source them for you.

Treasure Hunt - Mode Cosmetics Enamel - Pt.1
I have been searching for the missing pieces to my Mode Cosmetics puzzle quite a bit in the last two weeks or so, and thought I might up-date my readers on what I have learned! I regularly check my local stores for shades that I might have missed, but have not found anything new of late, so I decided I have to broaden my search.
Last weekend a friend of mine (a wonderful, supportive friend that is far too patient with my sometimes tedious assiduousness...) accompanied me on a city treck, to visit stores that carry the stock I am looking for. All I learned, is that Sunday is NOT a good day to carry out such a task, as most of the stores were closed! Two had moved to new locations.... but where was the question!? So needless to say, that mission was a complete, disappointing failure!
Rather than repeat the weekends botch, I started calling stores instead. Some store staff were very friendly and helpul, others... not so much! This method works much better (and is much cheaper) I must say! And good news.... I found a new shade! I was rather excited! So, that leaves 12 more shades to locate, which I'll keep trying to track down over the next couple of weeks. At least I won't have to drive all over Melbourne now that I have discovered some people are willing to help me in my quest!
One thing that I did find out during my search, which I would like my readers to know, is that not all stockists sell the nail polish at the standard price of $2.45. I found stockists selling them for up to $4.95, so buyer beware!

Spotlight On: Mode Cosmetics #10313 Lilac Dawn
Firstly, please read my post Introducing.... Mode Cosmetics Nail Enamel! if you have not done so already, as it contains general information about this brand of nail enamel.
Unfortunately I am unable to swatch #10312 - Blue Ice for you at this time, as the shade is discontinued, and I have not been able to find one anywhere - but I won't be giving up! If or when I find one in the future I will definitely be showing you all my excitement!
Lilac Dawn is part of the current Mode Cosmetics collection and is a pretty, classic shade of purple. The pearl finish catches the light and almost has a metallic appearance to it. The colour purple is difficult to define in my opinion, some would call this shade lilac, others may call it mulberry - I sway between the two! I found this shade very easy to apply, but preferred the coverage of three coats, as two didn't quite give the metallic effect that I am so in love with!

Nail art: I used Crystallized Swarovski Flat Backs. These ones are Foiled Xilion Rose (2028/ss5.) Colour: 223 Light Rose. Set into wet nail polish and apply top coat. Voila!

While I was swatching my nails, my 17 month old daughter joined in, and I thought it was so cute I just had to show you guys! Awwwwwww...... the love of my life!

Spotlight On: Mode Cosmetics #10311 Pearl
Firstly, please read my previous post if you have not done so already, as that contains general information about this brand of nail enamel. I'll let you all know that I will be by-passing #10310 which is a standard Top Coat, but if anyone would like me to source one of these then I am more than happy to do so, just send me a message!
Pearl is part of the current Mode Cosmetics collection and a gorgeous white as the name suggests! It catches the light beautifully and shines reflectively. Some white pearl nail polishes have a tendancy to look grey in some lights, but I have not found this one to look grey at all. The only down side that I found was that it is a little tricky to apply without brush streaks. However, it has great coverage with 2 coats. I definitely give this shade the thumbs up!
